About
Michael Marquardt is a photographer and FAA-licensed drone pilot based in the Denver/Boulder area. Michael grew up with a camera in his hands, with his first experience using a DSLR at just five years old. At age 16, he was gifted his own DSLR and set off to share the natural beauty of Colorado, the state he proudly calls home. In college, Michael honed his skills as a staff photojournalist for Rocky Mountain Student Media, a pilot for the CSU Drone Center, and as the treasurer and vice president of the CSU Photography Club, deepening his experience in many areas of photography. Today, Michael works as a high-altitude drone test pilot, traveling across the state to gather and analyze flight telemetry for cutting-edge uncrewed aerial vehicles, while documenting the unique landscapes and experiences along the way.
